Sun Oak a restored Creole cottage in Faubourg Marigany. Built in 1836, it
retains the spirit of the past in its period color scheme--French red, putty,
indigo and Egyptian blue--as well as in its mahogany pine floors, winding
staircases and early Louisiana antiques. This property is a short walk to the
French Quarter.
New Orleans is a very colorful city, quite literally. The Creole's were not
afraid of color and painted there homes in a profusion of color combinations one
might not see in other parts of the US! The colors displayed here for you are
colors that people use in their homes, on there homes, and can be found in
nature.
