Petit Déjeuner at my friends Peter Patout's house

The Patout parlor is full of Louisiana antiques and decorative arts 

I have known Peter Patout for almost 20 years. First meeting him in the mid 1990's when I was in High school. at that time Peter had a wonderful Antiques shop on famous Royal street in the French Quarter full of beautiful Louisiana Creole and American antique furniture and Decorative arts.  We have been friends ever since. With a similar taste for the same kind of antique furniture and decorative arts that some people have called "Plantation style" or "Antebellum style"


 A little over a month ago I was invited to Peter's lovely Bourbon street home for Petit Déjeuner to talk about a commissioned painting. at the end of the Déjeuner the one commissioned painting turned into 3 commissioned paintings! Peter's family can be traced almost to the founding of Mobile, Alabama in 1702 and New Orleans in 1718. His lovey home is beautifully furnished with Ancestral portraits, furniture and decorative arts all with important connections  to Louisiana history. This type of commission is the type I live for. To paint a historic interior with ancestral Louisiana antiques.
