The dinning room of le château de Hopkins, in Mobile, Alabama.

The dinning room table a 1820's Baltimore classical drop-leaf table is set with mid 19th century Old Paris porcelain and 1840's grape etched and cut glass.

The classical sideboard is from a 1840's Alabama family and thought to be Plantation made.

19th century drapery treatment and a Federal Baltimore made drop leaf table used as a bar.

The Southern walnut huntboard is from the North Carolina Piedmont region.

The drapery treatment is 19th century and from a Baltimore, Maryland mansion.

The pair of 1815 Philadelphia side chairs are covered in a silk Scalamandre lampas!

A pair of French mid 19th century carsel lamps and a 1850's French wax figure of baby Jesus on the huntboard.

Walking around Paris!

The back of Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris

One of my favorate cities in the world to walk around is Paris, France. Paris is a very walkable city as there is always something interesting and beautiful to see. I spent a month in France between October and November. My first week in France was in Paris, a city I have visited for over 20 years. For the past 5 years I have stayed in the 9th arrondissement in the same building.  It contains many places of cultural, historical and architectural interest, including the Palais Garnier, home to the Paris Opera, Boulevard Haussmann and its large department stores Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. Along with the 2nd and 8th arrondissements, it hosts one of the business centers of Paris, located around the Opéra.
